Everyone meet Michelle!!!! What an awesome friend Michelle is to everyone in The Realm! When we sat down to chat, I loved hearing Michelle's answers to these questions- I'm sure you'll be excited to hear what she had to say, too!!!

Me: What's your middle name?

Michelle: My middle name is Alexis!

Me: What's your favorite thing to do?

Michelle: I love to listen to music!

Me: Do you have any pets?

Michelle: Yeah! I have a dogggy named Jack!

Me: What's your favorite snack?

Michelle: Ohh! I love apples and peanut butter!

Me: Do you have a favorite sport? What is it?

Michelle: I like swimming and soccer!

Me: What do you do that makes you smile the biggest?

Michelle: hmmm... when I take a walk and, if Johnny's with me, I will hide behind big mail boxes and Johnny goes: "Shelly... shelllllllllllly..." ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... or when my baby sister Hannah says, "Oh D-oo" ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Wow- I love both of them so much!

Me: What do you want to be when you grow up?

Michelle: Ha! Well, if you can believe this, I want to be a lawyer!

Me: Which person, deal or alive, do you admire the most?

Michelle: I admire my wonderful mommy the most!

Me: Do you have a favorite Bible verse to share?

Michelle: Oh yeah! It's Jeremiah 29:11 and it says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for a wholeness, and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."

That's so awesome to know more about Michelle! You're so great- and we couldn't have The Realm without you being a part of it! Thanks for letting us find out more about you!!!!

Laugh a little!

Did you know that laughing gets more oxygen into your bloodstream? IT TOTALLY DOES!!! And, laughter also decreases stress, boosts your immune stystem (which helps you fight off the flu!) and helps to relax your muscles!!!

The Realm Christmas Party

This is a shout out to everyone who came on Wednesday night to the 

Realm Christmas Party!  

It was an awesome night!  

The 7th grade girls know how to party... and how to dress christmassy, too!  Michelle, Rebecca and Anna would have to be considered for the fabulous Christmas sweater awards!!!

... although, Hannah's sweater would definitely win an award, too!!!

Emilie and Emily were having fun and showing their Christmas spirit, too!!!

Andrew started out the night by reading the Christmas story to everyone!

And then, some amazing Human Presents!!!

And then there was the White Elephant Gift Exchange!  It was so fun to see what everyone brought and what you got to go home with.  I have to say the worst gift was the half used roll of toilet paper-- who brought that?  But there were also some great gifts that got stolen so many times!  What a fun game!  If you got to go home with something cool... like the monkey on the surf board or the carton of a million fishy crackers... hope you enjoyed your cool gift!  If you were someone that got the half used roll of toilet paper, or the paper plate, save it until next year and bring it around again for the Great White Elephant Gift Exchange of 2009!!

The night was so fun!  Nathania agrees!  Awesome Christmas party!

So... it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Who knows if your house has Christmas decorations up yet or if you're going to help decorate for Christmas soon... but, the Christmas season puts me in the mood for a little contest!

MADDIE!!!

Just thought it could be good to get to know some people in the Realm a little better!!!  Starting with Maddie!

Me: What's your middle name?

Maddie: Grace!

Me: What's one of your most favorite things to do?

Maddie: Play volleyball!

Me: What's your favorite movie?

Maddie: I truly don't know... I have too many!

Me: Do you have any pets?

Maddie: Yes!  I have a dog.  Her name is Meg!

Me: If you found a $100 bill, what would you do with it?

Maddie: If I found it at school, I would turn it into the office... but, if there was no way to give it back to the owner, I would save it!

Me: What's your favorite snack?

Maddie: Cheese and crackers or bananas and peanut butter!

Me: What's your favorite kind of pizza?

Maddie: Just cheese!  Oh, or cheese with sausage!

Me: Do you have a favorite sport?  What is it?

Maddie: Volleyball... and then track!

Me: Do you have a favorite Bible Verse to share?

Maddie: Yes!  It's 1st Timothy 4:12 and it says, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity."

Wow!  I'm so excited that Maddie is a part of the Realm!!!  Wasn't that fun getting to know her a little better?  Maddie is so great!

Chex Muddy Buddies

MMM!!! YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!!! My favorite no-bake dessert!!! And, you can make it, too!

First- ask your mom or your dad if they can help you. Then, you'll need:
9 cups of Rice Chex cereal
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
A big bowl for mixing
A big plastic zip-lock
Wax paper

Into a large bowl, measure 9 cups of cereal

Set the bowl aside!

Into a microwavable bowl, measure 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

yummy!!!

Add 1/2 cup of peanut butter to the microwavable bowl

I need a manicure!

This is the making of something really, really good!!!

Measure 1/4 cup of butter

...and add it to the microwavable bowl, too!

Microwave uncovered..
.

...for one minute. Take it out and stir and then put the bowl back in the microwave again...

...for 30 seconds!

Take it out of the microwave and make sure it can be stirred smooth.

Add the 1 teaspoon of vanilla and stir again!

Pour mixture over cereal

Stir until evenly coated

Pour into a 2 gallon zip lock food-storage plastic bag

Measure 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar

Add the powdered sugar to the zip lock bag

Seal the bag (very important!)

Shake until the cereal is well coated with powdered sugar

Spread on waxed paper to cool

OH MY GOODNESS!!! How delicious is that luscious goodness I am holding in my hot little hand-- YUMMY!!! OH YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY!!! you've got to try it... "ANDREW!!!!! YOU'VE GOT TO TRY THIS!!!!"

He takes a bite... and...

YAY!! SO GOOD!!!

make sure you store the leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator!
