Thanks, God!

Thanksgiving is almost here! I've gotta go shopping to get everything for my pies and the stuffing and the mashed potatoes... and, oh yeah: the TURKEY!!! YUUUUUUUUUM!
But, maybe I should stop and take a second to thank God for everything He has blessed me with... yeah- actually, I think I'll do that before I take off and go shopping-- I mean, after all, I think God is the one that blesses me with all the yummy food we get to enjoy on Thanksgiving day-- and so much more throughout the year, right?!!!!

I'm thankful for my best friend and the most incredible, fun, and godly junior high pastor, ANDREW! God has totally blessed our lives with him and today, I am so thankful for him!

SOOOO-- what are you thankful for?

Story Time!!!

ONCE UPON A TIME....
Not long ago, there live a princess. She was very beautiful and very kind. When people looked at her, they couldn't look away- for there was something special about her smile. Almost as if it didn't belong on her face! Perhaps that was the reason her parents kept her locked in the room furthest from theirs- a room nearly 700 feet off the ground, in the palace tower.

From there, she would look down at the people coming and going from the Palace. She could see the nearby town where children would play, mother's would gather eggs from the hen houses, and peddlers would offer their goods.

Each night, a butler would bring Princess Joy her one meal of the day and each night, Joy would long for the butler to tell her of the King and Queen. Unfortunately, the butler was deaf and could not hear Joy's requests.

One morning, as Princess Joy woke up, she could not have known that this would be a day she would always remember. Like any other day, she slipped on her house shoes and walked across the room to wash her face. Without warning, she felt the earth beneath her become very unsteady. An earthquake had hit the palace. Joy immediately...

ALRIGHT- IT'S YOUR TURN TO ADD TO THE STORY!!! CLICK ON "COMMENT(S)" AND ADD AS MUCH OR AS LITTLE TO THE STORY! MAKE SURE YOU CHECK TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE HAS ADDED TO THE STORY BEFORE YOU! THIS SHOULD BE INTERESTING!!!!

A Few Riddles

A man was to be sentenced and the

judge told him, "You may make a

statement. If it is true I'll sentence

you to four years in prison.

If it is false I'll sentence you to six

years in prison." After the man made his statement,

the judge decided to let him go free.

What did the man say?

What is broken every time it's spoken?

What work can a painter never quite finish?

What has a mouth but can't chew?

T.P.ed (AGAIN!!!)

Diary entry #1: July 25, 2009

I woke up this morning to the sound of a jay bird at my window. The sun was just beginning to warm the bedroom and I knew it was going to be a lovely Saturday. Thoughts of swimming in the pool and going out to coffee with Andrew danced in my head. Andrew and I got up and dressed for a relaxing breakfast at Panera to start our Saturday morning. Andrew grabbed the keys and smiled as he opened the door for me. We had been T.P.ed the previous morning, so we assumed we were safe the very next night! No words can describe the surprise, disorientation or the confusion as we opened our door to discover just what had happened sometime in the wee hours of Saturday morning, THIS:

...pictures just don't do it justice...
...very professional work, ladies...
Andrew and I spent Saturday morning cleaning up the yard!!!! :)
And then we went to Panera!
