J A C O B + G U Z M A N

I had a lot of fun getting to know one of the coolest guys in our youth group! Meet Jacob Guzman! He's awesome and you should get to know him! Check out what I learned about him:

Me: What's your middle name?

Jacob: My middle name is Alejandro which means Alexander in Spanish

Me: Okay! that's cool- you know your middle name in English and Spanish! Okay- do you have any pets?

Jacob: I have two pets. I have a rabbit named Cinderella and a dog named Oliver aka. Ollie

Me: What's your favorite snack:

Jacob: My favorite snack is peanut butter and crackers

Me: YUM! What's your favorite kind of pizza?

Jacob: My favorite kind of pizza is pepperoni!

Me: Nice! Pepperoni is yummy! Hey! Do you have a favorite sport?

Jacob: Yes i do have a favorite sport, it is basketball. Go Lakers!!!!!

Me: ha ha ha... nice! I understand you play basketball, too- so that's cool! Do you have a favorite Bible verse you could share?

Jacob: Ooohhhhhhhh, thats a tough one, but i really like Jeremiah 1:8: " Do not be afraid of them, for i am with you and will rescue you, " declares the Lord.

Me: What's one thing you do that makes you smile?

Jacob: I think the thing that i do that makes me smile is making a great shot in a basketball game. Like the shot that i made at my last basketball game, that was like right in-between the 3-point line and half court!

Me: HA! That's AWESOME! And, you made it-- that's so cool! That's making me smile, too! What do you want to be when you grouw up?

Jacob: What do i want to be when i grow up??? uummm.......... Thats a tough one.... lol.... Just kidding i want to be a professional basketball player.

Me: Well- if you keep making shots like in your last basketball game, you've got a chance! Hey- who do you admire the most?

Jacob: I admire a lot of people, but one that stands out to me would have to be Jakie Robinson. Not only was he the first black baseball player, but he also broke the color barrier in baseball, and i really like that about him. And yes baseball is my second favorite sport!

Jacob! I loved getting to know you better!!! You are such an incredible part of our youth group-- helping get stuff set up for everyone on Sunday morning is such a cool ministry! We're so glad you're in our group!
